Why B.Ed.?

Teachers play a very important role in a student’s life. It is, to a great extent, the teachers who decide the shape a student’s life will take in future. So, it is very necessary to be adequately equipped with resources that will make the teacher a perfect role model for the students. To achieve this, B.Ed. training is very necessary.

Profile of a Student of this Institution
She/he shall be able to :

School Internship

Second Semester School Internship
  • Students will visit the schools and observe the following activities and maintain a record:
  • The student teachers will be oriented and acquainted with the overall working of the school to make him/ her fit to conduct himself/ herself in all activities of the school.
  • The student teachers will be acquainted with the record keeping of different activities like morning assembly, time table construction, class teaching, evaluation system, school administration. It may include maintenance of attendance register, stock register of the purchase and consumption of different materials, to conduct the mid-day meal, to observe the periodical meetings of the faculty and the staff and to organize and participate in different co-curricular activities.Construction of Learning Design is to be initiated during the second semester.
  • No external evaluation will be done during the internship of one month, but a report containing all the above activities will have to be submitted before the external examiner during the evaluation of Practicum of 2nd Semester.
Third Semester School Internship

  • At least 60 Learning Designs will have to be prepared, approved by the subject teacher and to be delivered in the classroom situation.
  • Each and every Learning design must be signed by the subject teacher/ any other teacher educator after execution of the lesson.
  • Principal/ Office -in-Charge/ Teacher-in-Charge will have to observe the teaching of each and every students.
  • Internal evaluation will be done for 150 marks (Principal/ Office -in-Charge/ Teacher-in-Charge/ Head of the Department – 50, Subject Teacher – 50 and Mentor Teacher Educator – 50).
  • External Evaluation will be done by one University appointed External Examiner on 150 marks through observation of class teaching.
  • Only External examiner will remain inside the classroom for evaluation of execution of lesson.
  • 20-25 lesson are to be evaluated per day by the External Examiner.
